Smögen 10 Jahre - Decadent Drams 2024

Ein 2014er Smögen, der 8 Jahre lang in einem frischen Madeira Hogshead reifte, bevor Decadent Drinks ihn wieder in einen altes Refill-Hogshead verpackt haben, wo es knapp zwei Jahre blieb, bis es zehn Jahre alt wurde alt und er wurde mit ein paar Grad Reduktion auf 57,1 % abgefüllt.

Sehr reichhaltig, dick, torfig und mit einer raffinierten, rätselhaften Trockennote Fruchtigkeit vom Madeira-Einfluss.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Richly, emphatically peaty, with lots of smoked sea salt, mineral salts, cured meats and tar. Wonderfully fat, smoky, rich whisky. A glimmer of oak spice and dried fruits underneath.

Palate: Spicy, smoky and sooty all at once. Great tarry, powerful peaty flavours, smoked peppercorns, dates, charred oranges and cocktail bitters. Getting increasingly herbal and smoky!

Finish: Very long and very salty once again, really a coastal powerhouse of a dram.
