The first lightly peated whisky from Ballindalloch, created in collaboration with one of Britain's leading crime writers, John Sutherland. The legendary Ballindalloch Castle inspired the author as the model for the castle in his thriller.
For Ballindalloch The Castle, a blend of first-fill and second-fill bourbon barrels from 2015 was selected, with the second-fill casks containing previously peated whisky. This resulted in a whisky that combines the fruitiness of Ballindalloch with a hint of smoke. The whisky was unchill-filtered and bottled uncolored at 50.0% ABV.
