2025's Equinox & Solstice series begins this spring with an 11 year old Longmorn. A mix of two 2013, first fill barrels - one of which was naturally pretty low and wonderfully syrupy and concentrated as a result - bottled at this series'
trademark strength of 48.5%. Our artist this year is Fife-based Kirsty Lorenz, she specializes in artworks that explore and celebrate Scottish flowers and flora - a very fitting theme for our Equinox & Solstice series. We're delighted with what Kirsty has
come up with, and we're really pleased with how this luscious Longmorn has turned out.
TASTING NOTES
Nose: Tinned pineapple, kumquat, mango lassi and lemon barley water. Also background waxy and olive oil notes along with breakfast cereals dusted with icing sugar. Lush!
Palate: Very in keeping with the nose, this is a whiskey dominated by soft yellow and exotic fruits, green banana, plums, wildflower nectars and cut grass.
Finish: Medium in length, full of soft, fleshy yellow and green fruits, crushed nettles, vanilla cream and hints of young dessert wines.
