J.G. Thomson's Smoky Blended Malt Whisky is made from 100% Islay malt, giving you something to chew on. Once the cork is removed, you're greeted with burning ash, baked seaweed, grilled fruit, and a medicinal undertone. As you drink, smoked sugar and salt meet cured meats, rich cloves, and delicate honeycomb. J.G. Thomson uses Pedro Ximenez butts and hogsheads for richness and depth, and ex-bourbon casks for sweetness and body. Careful cask selection allows J.G. Thomson to highlight the whisky's smokiness and blend a balanced dram.
