Monymusk 4 Years 2020/2024 - RumClub - Mark MMW

This special single cask rum was distilled in 2020 and, with an ester content of approximately 300 g/hL AA, is one of Clarendon's more powerful pot still rums (Mark MMW). After four years of maturation in an ex-bourbon cask, the rum was finished for three months in our Jamaica New Yarmouth cask, which imparted additional, distinctive notes and thus makes it a unique experience.

The RumClub Ed. 51 offers a wonderful range of aromas with fruity, woody, and sweet components. No single note is too dominant; rather, we experience a perfect interplay of esters and oak.

About Monymusk

The Monymusk Estate is located in the parish of Clarendon and is closely associated with sugar and rum production. Originally known as the Monymusk Estate, the site comprised a sugar mill and distillery, which were later split into separate units. Today, the distillery on the Monymusk Estate is operated by Clarendon Distillers Ltd. Since 1980, the Clarendon, Long Pond, and Innswood distilleries have been managed by National Rums of Jamaica—a somewhat complex but nonetheless fascinating story.
The MMW brand stands for Monymusk Wedderburn. Monymusk's world-famous, robust Wedderburn style is named after John Wedderburn, a Briton who lived in Jamaica for many years, owned several hectares of sugar cane fields, and operated several rum distilleries.
