With charming understatement, Patrick van Zuidam, the second generation of the family, independently distills not only genever and gin, but also whisky. Among other things, he distills "grain to glass" from his own grain, which is milled in mills for the whisky brand Millstone.
With the Dutch Windmills Collection, we're dedicating a series of exclusive, unpeated bottlings for Kirsch customers to one of the Netherlands' landmarks. The Millstone 2018/2025 – Oloroso Sherry Cask #18B251 was inspired not only by the windmill, but also by the compositions of Piet Mondrian, one of our neighbor's most famous artists. This complex single cask blends rich notes of citrus and dried fruits with elegant wood spice.
