Tasting Notes
Nose : Initially slightly peppery, the aromas quickly transition to dried apricots and roasted nuts. The sweetness of crème brûlée caresses the nose with a distinct note of caramelized sugar. This is followed by quince and fresh herbs. The aromas are heavy, reminiscent of a Dunnage warehouse, before a sweetness reminiscent of nutty pralines permeates. After a while, the woody and somewhat resinous notes become more intense. A faint smoky note appears before the scent of orange oil overwhelms the nose.
Palate : The whisky feels broad and powerful in the mouth. Oak spice paired with burnt caramel, quince jelly, and cream sweets, followed by pickled fruits and the chocolatey bitterness of mocha. Later, tobacco notes fill the mouth, while the oak spice and light bitterness linger. Again, a light smoky note seems to resonate in the background. After a while, the flavors explode powerfully.
Salty porridge, dark coffee cream chocolate and cashew nuts blend into a fiery chili spice and a hint of cinnamon.
Finish : Long and intense. Rich caramel, alcohol-soaked old wood, aromatic tree resin, and nut flavors blend with dark chocolate and chili flakes.
