This 11-year-old Glenrothes, bottled in 2023 by the Dutch independent bottler Whiskydudes, was matured for a full 29 months in a Fresh Oloroso Sherry Quarter Cask.
Aroma: Very mild with figs, plums, and strawberries, rounded off with whipped cream. Old leather. A touch of tartaric acid, red grapes, and Saturn peach.
Taste: Sultanas, blood orange, and chocolate. Crushed peppercorns. Quite floral, rose petals.
Finish: The finish is long-lasting and very sticky. Lots of caramel.
