Glenallachie 35 years 1989/2024

At the end of the 1980s, Billy Walker was still at the beginning of his impressive career—as was the distillate that The GlenAllachie Distillery casked in 1989. Thirty-five years later, the living legend's master blender and these vintage stocks of outstanding Speyside single malt come together for a luscious symphony of syrup, mocha, and tropical fruits.

With The GlenAllachie 35 yo, Billy Walker has created his oldest bottling to date for The GlenAllachie. To achieve the optimal interplay of distillery character and wood, he selected a combination of three Pedro Ximénez sherry hogsheads, one Oloroso sherry puncheon, and two virgin oak barrels. The result speaks for itself, with a high alcohol content of 48% ABV, a natural color, and unfiltered.

The packaging reflects the exquisite interior: The GlenAllachie 35 yo is filled into a broad-shouldered decanter, presented in a magnificent, hand-carved oak box. This box features a removable base on which the bottle can be displayed. The enclosed booklet contains Billy Walker's handwritten notes describing the cask selection and the history of the 35 yo.
