Glen Elgin 13 Years 2008/2021 - Signatory Vintage - Single Cask #2

Anyone who yearns for the golden autumn when they gaze out the window will find the perfect whisky companion in our new Seasons bottling. Stubble fields under the autumn sun, colorful leaves, a hint of fruity spice in the air – sensory impressions that this Speyside single malt skillfully evokes. For our 2021 Autumn Edition, we chose the Glen Elgin 2008/2021 from the warehouse of our long-time partner Signatory Vintage.

Here, the Scotch matured for a total of 13 years in oak casks, including a first-fill sherry butt finish. The Andalusian cask influence likely lends this Speysider from one of Scotland's lesser-known distilleries its exceptionally rich amber hue. And: a full-bodied aroma. The "wormtub condenser" certainly contributes to this. Glen Elgin is one of only a few distilleries still using the traditional cooling system, which makes the raw spirit heavier and more full-bodied.
