Elements of Islay - Bourbon Cask

For Elements of Islay, Elixir Distillers select whiskies from all active and partially inactive Islay distilleries. The bottlers compose their delicious elemental blends from casks of different ages, sometimes from different distilleries. The goal: to capture the full spectrum of the island's malt whiskies, with their medicinal, peaty, and maritime character.

For lasting enjoyment, the Islay periodic table is expanding: From now on, the limited small batch bottlings in apothecary bottles will be joined by standard bottlings – in 700ml bottles.

Nose: Sweet aromas from a sugar bowl filled with vanilla pods. Vanilla-amber scented candles, fresh tropical fruits, and spicy coal smoke from the chimney.
Palate: In front of a crackling peat fire, a cappuccino dusted with chocolate powder, warm brioche with vanilla custard, and tangy fruits soaked in maple syrup unfold. Followed by a butter glaze on vanilla muffins.
Finish: Sweet, creamy vanilla with lingering peat smoke.
