Whisky-Werk is a young and innovative company founded by Jörg Zahorodnyj and Marco Hage in early 2020. The idea of collaborating in the field of whisky came about five years ago, when the two discovered by chance that they could draw on more than 40 years of combined experience in the whisky and spirits industry! This was reason enough to combine this knowledge and creativity into a business and pursue their passion for whisky.

The two spent a long time refining the name and label: "Caogad Tri," Gaelic for the number 53, became the name, and it ties in with the concept of combining a regional product with Schwäbisch Hall's culture. The decisive factor for the label motif was an old postcard from 1903, inviting visitors to the Protestant parish festival and featuring an impressive depiction of the grand staircase—the site of the open-air theater.
