Bruichladdich 20 Years 2001/2021 - Zanzibar - White Label

This 20-year-old Bruichladdich from a sherry hogshead is a real blast, reminiscent of Bruichladdich bottlings from the 1970s and 1980s. However, the cask dates back to 2001, the first year after the distillery reopened, which had been closed since 1994.

20 years in a sherry hogshead brings a dreamy, old, dry sherry style to the glass. Expect aromas of sweet herbs and leather, delicate sandalwood and Maggi, herbal sweets, as well as ripe blood oranges and aromatic maritime seaweed notes. Incredibly oily and creamy in the mouth with a seemingly endless finish. Only 318 bottles of this single malt are available. It was bottled at natural cask strength 53.1% ABV in a specially created and designed series as a joint bottling with Sansibar Whisky and deinwhisky.de.
