Murray McDavid's trademark? An outstanding treasure of oak. For the first time, we have secured exclusive single casks from the independent bottler's select cask inventory for Kirsch customers. The seven single cask bottlings come from the Benchmark series, the heart of Murray McDavid, and the Mission Gold series, which includes particularly old, rare, and exceptional whiskies.

About Murray McDavid

Whether sherry casks from Spanish bodegas, strong wine casks from Madeira, port pipes from Portugal, barrique casks from Europe's top winemakers, casks from Caribbean rum distilleries, or bourbon casks from the USA: Murray McDavid sources casks directly from the producer. This treasure of wood has become a trademark of the renowned independent bottler. Founded in 1994 by Mark Reynier (current CEO of Waterford and Renegade), Simon Coughlin, and Gordon Wright (Springbank Distillery), Murray McDavid quickly made a name for himself with his maturation in exquisite casks. The team is also known for its acquisition and "rescue" of the Bruichladdich Distillery.

Murray McDavid's home, however, is the disused Coleburn Distillery in Speyside. In the traditional dunnage warehouse, the bottlings mature between low, yet thick walls and on clay soil. Single malt and grain whisky, vatted malts, and blended whisky are released in various series. At the heart of these series is Benchmark. Only first-class single malts find their way into the turquoise-labeled bottles.
