The 100 Proof Edition has filled a gap in the Signatory range since the beginning of the year. The single malts in the series are bottled at 57.1% ABV, the minimum alcohol content at which alcohol-soaked gunpowder can be ignited. High ABV meets low prices.
The Ben Nevis 2019/2024 is not only high in terms of proof, but also in ppm. The 100 Proof Edition #17 is a heavily peated Highlander that has been able to combine its smoky and spicy characteristics with the aromas of a nutty, sweet fortified wine during five years of full maturation in refill Oloroso sherry butts.
