The 2023 Tomatin 29 Year Old 1994/2023 - Whisky Sponge comes from Scotland/Highlands and is a single malt. The bottle contains 49.5% alcohol by volume at cask strength.
Decadent Drinks had been on the hunt for a good cask of Tomatin for some time, and this one offered a very pure and vibrant interpretation of the distillery's inherent fruitiness.
Fully matured in a relatively light old ex-sherry hogshead. The result is super fresh, fruity, and focused on the mature refill style. Very much our kind of dram and our preferred Tomatin style.
Whisky Sponge Edition No. 82 is a 29-year-old Tomatin from 1994. It matured its entire life in an old sherry hogshead, and Decadent Drinks bottled the resulting fruit salad juice at natural cask strength. This whisky will delight fans of slightly funky exotic fruits and those who appreciate the mysterious virtues of distillate character and long-term refill cask maturation.
