Nc'nean - Aon - Single Cask #18-294

Under the leadership of Annabel Thomas, Nc'nean is laying the groundwork for the sustainable production of Scotch whisky. Located in a wild, romantic, remote corner of the Highlands, the distillery works exclusively with organic Scottish barley and uses 100 percent renewable energy.

The distillery has been operating on the coast of the Morvern Peninsula since 2017. Now, the pioneering distillers' second single cask is being released – exclusively for the German market and at cask strength.

Aon 18-294 was bottled from a single STR Red Wine Cask (STR = "scraped" or "shaved," "toasted," or "recharred"). This single cask offers a unique opportunity to taste one of the most important components of the Nc'nean recipe in its purest form. The standard relies on these highly interactive casks for 55% of its production.

Aon demonstrates its aromatic power: With its beautiful texture and warm notes of apricot, brioche, and candied citrus fruits, the exclusive bottling is a perfect example of the creamy, fruity whisky produced by STR casks.
