Nc'nean 2019 - Batch Cask Strength

Nc'nean knows how to forge its own path. This pioneering, female-led distillery has already made an impressive mark in sustainable whisky production. It relies exclusively on renewable energy for production and distills its organic single malt using 100 percent organically grown Scottish barley. The coastal distillery on the picturesque Morvern Peninsula is also the first in the UK to achieve net-zero emissions from production—outpacing the Scottish whisky industry's 2040 target by almost 20 years.

Now Nc'nean is setting a new milestone: The pioneers have bottled the organic whisky from their Core Range at cask strength for the first time – exclusively for their strong fan base in Germany. 4,998 bottles of Nc'nean Organic Single Malt Scotch Whisky – Cask Strength are available.

It matured in a cask combination identical to the standard, but is bottled undiluted from 55% STR red wine, 43% bourbon, and 2% Oloroso sherry casks. This reveals typical notes such as sweet lemon curd, bright ripe fruits like peach and apricot, and rye bread with herbal spices in a pronounced form at 59.6% ABV cask strength.
