Its fresh, floral-fruity character makes MILTONDUFF a charming, relatively light Speyside malt with a rich texture, primarily used to add an elegant touch to the well-known "Ballantine's" blend. While it's a rare, independently bottled single malt, our MILTONDUFF proves that this undervalued Speysider deserves more attention. The blend of classic bourbon cask maturation and the interplay of flavors from the careful, two-year aging in an Oloroso sherry cask is harmonious and balanced. We believe this is where the "magic" of wood, distillate, and time reveals itself in a particularly delicious way!
On the palate, an intense spiciness initially emerges, accompanied by a sparkling sweetness and subtle brandy notes. 'Fruity & Sweet' is the next chapter: fig jam, strawberry punch, and canned fruit cocktail dominate the program, until caramel candies and dry wood notes emerge...
