About the Sister Casks Series

To mark the 50th anniversary of the Hanseatic Wine Trading Company, six exceptional and previously unreleased Kilchoman "Sister Casks" were selected during the recent trip to Islay and released as "One-of-a-Kind" editions. These are a selection of single casks from the early years of distillery production, of which Kilchoman only has a handful left, including the first-ever Oloroso Sherry single cask full cask maturations and a 100% Islay malt with an age statement, distilled from barley grown on the farm distillery. These single casks were personally selected by Peter Wills and Stephan Ehmke in the distillery's Dunnage Warehouse and released as "Sister Casks," meaning they were distilled and casked on the same day. After being filled into the select casks, the "Sister Casks" began their individual maturation period.
