For Elements of Islay, Elixir Distillers select whiskies from both active and inactive Islay distilleries. The independent bottlers compose their delicious elemental blends from casks of different ages, sometimes from different distilleries. The goal: to capture the full spectrum of the island's malt whiskies, with their medicinal, peaty, and maritime character.
The Elements of Islay Campfire is a blended malt made from three distinctive single malts from Islay's north and south coasts. Matured in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks, first-fill bourbon casks, and toasted new oak casks, it completes the limited-edition "Fire Trilogy" for Fèis Ìle 2025.
Its complex profile is inspired by the cozy idea of roasting s'mores – ginger cookies, dark chocolate with candied orange, and marshmallows – around a warm, crackling campfire.
