Since then, with Compass Box, he and his team have been creating textures and flavors that a single whisky often can't achieve. For their luxury blends, the whiskymakers combine the best qualities of some very old single malt and single grain whiskies from renowned distilleries, sourced from their own cask warehouses in Scotland.
Single malt and grain whiskies up to 22 years old, primarily from Sauternes, Marsala and Madeira casks, form the foundation for the blended Scotch Art & Decadence.
The limited edition draws on the Decadence movement of the late 19th century, when for contemporaries like Oscar Wilde, more was always more. The dandy was reborn, the peacock became a cultural symbol, and gold was everywhere. Just like the outstanding packaging of Art & Decadence. The inner qualities of this exquisite blend are equally excessive and sumptuous: with exuberant notes of dried and white fruits, toffee, vanilla, dark chocolate, and fragrant oak, it is a feast for the senses.
