Benromach 9 Years 2014/2024 - Contrasts: Unpeated

Gordon & MacPhail has also owned its own distillery, Benromach, since the end of the last century. The Urquhart family, now owners of the independent bottler, fulfilled their dream. They rebuilt the distillery and celebrated its reopening in 1998. Since then, their single malt whisky has revived a lost Speyside character: balanced yet full-bodied, with a hint of smoke.

But exceptions prove the rule: Under the Contrasts label, whiskies are created that deviate from the character of the core range. The latest edition couldn't be more contrasting. Benromach Contrasts: Unpeated dispenses with peat entirely. Matured in bourbon and sherry casks, the single malt captivates with unusually sweet fruit notes.
