Aberfeldy 10 Years 2013/2023 - Whisky Sponge

For this year's autumn edition of Equinox & Solstice, Decadent Drinks blended two 2nd fill casks of Aberfeldy 2013 and bottled them at the series' typical 48.5% alcohol content.

This is a beautiful, robust specimen with a distinctly translucent distillate character, plenty of biscuits, strong wax, grain, pollen, and crystallized honey notes. A vibrant and very vivid example of Aberfeldy's charming character and a great, full-bodied Highland dram, perfect for a simple autumn sip.

Tasting Notes
Nose : rich and punchy cereals with underlying notes of waxes, lemon rind and gentle biscuity notes. Easy, characterful and direct with a lovely 'Highland' personality.

Palate : a great balance between sweet and drier components, classical distillate driven highland malt whiskey with mineral oils, waxes, citrus notes and sweeter cereal undertones.

Finish : good length, becoming drier with some aniseed, buttered toast and white pepper warmth in the aftertaste.
